Mel Loy is a self-confessed serial ideator, obsessed with understanding human behaviour. Mel and her team at Hey Mel! Communication & Training use their decades of experience and in-depth knowledge to support clients in communicating change. Mel is the author of the world’s first book on change communication, ‘Change Isn’t Hard’, host of the Less Chatter, More Matter podcast, and the immediate Past President of the Queensland Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.

She is a sought-after speaker and facilitator, having presented and delivered workshops everywhere from Bali to Toronto. When she’s not writing and creating, Mel is a group fitness instructor, yoga teacher, and Favourite Aunty to 12.5 children.

We live and work in noisy worlds, where every minute of every day we are bombarded with messages from multiple channels. In these environments, it’s hard for change communication to cut through, let alone resonate with our audiences. On top of the noise, we have a tendency to revert back to communication tactics that are tried and tested … but not necessarily effective in busy, multi-generational, hybrid workplaces.

We have to start thinking differently about change communication, which is where this workshop comes in! In this clinic, you’ll participate in a live, hypothetical scenario where you’ll be challenged to stretch your thinking, and become a creative communicator. You’ll be guided by your facilitator, who will help shape your ideas by sharing her years of experience, and knowledge of best-practice change communications, backed by behavioural science.
