Culture by Design: Using the Culture Canvas to Navigate Transformational Change

Ella has 20 years of cross-sector experience spanning law, financial services, Fortune 50 organisations, and high-growth SMEs. She is a business mentor, organisational development consultant, and facilitator known for helping leaders navigate complexity and lead change from the inside out. Clients often describe her as “the Chinese doctor for business”, diagnosing root causes behind misalignment, conflict, and underperformance, and translating them into practical shifts in thinking, behaviour, and leadership habits.

What is her session about?

In uncharted change, plans quickly become outdated, certainty disappears, and leaders are expected to move forward without clear answers.

In these moments, change is no longer driven by roadmaps, but shaped in conversations.

This session explores how leaders can use conversation as a real-time mechanism to create clarity, alignment, and ownership when the path is still emerging. It moves beyond traditional “change communication” and focuses on how leaders think, respond, and engage in the everyday moments where change is either resisted, misunderstood, or embraced.

Drawing on the Inner-Edge Capability approach, the session introduces a practical lens for understanding how mental clarity, emotional regulation, and leadership presence directly influence the quality of conversations, and therefore the trajectory of change.

Participants will gain:

1. A new way to lead change when there is no fixed end state or stable plan
2. Practical approaches to create shared understanding and ownership in ambiguity
3. Tools to navigate resistance, tension, and shifting priorities without losing trust or momentum
4.Greater awareness of how their internal state shapes how change is received, interpreted, and acted on

In uncharted environments, leaders need better conversations.
This session equips them to lead change through quality conversations, not just more communication.
