She firmly believes that the best results happen when a team finds the sweet spot of great business results and great team experience. Lauren has a diverse background that gives her a unique insight into how corporate teams operate. She started her career as a financial auditor before switching gears into management consulting and now innovation management. The golden thread of her career has been helping teams to work together to apply their expertise to solve problems and create results.

On the Same Page: Research-backed techniques for using great workshops to get your teams on the same page

You know the pain of working with a team or organisation who aren’t all on the same page. Did you know there is a research-backed approach building shared mental models so your teams can collaborate and coordinate seamlessly?

Organisational behaviour research tells us how high performing collaborate: through shared mental models, integrating new knowledge and coordinating action. These are the same skills that a team uses in a scaffolded way during a well-facilitated workshop. So, great workshops are a lab for developing your team’s collaboration skills that will sustain beyond the whiteboard and into their day to day work.

Innovation manager and teamwork facilitator, Lauren Dixon, will take you through the theory behind great collaboration. She will then demonstrate how to apply this research in your workshops. And finally, she will show you how to help your team’s embed these behaviours to benefit their collaboration when they get back to their desks.

As a change practitioner, you will gain the knowledge and skills to help your clients and colleagues increase their performance as they work with you. This will be a hands-on, interactive experience and you will walk away with a practical exercise you can use with your teams to get them on the same page.
